Due to unforeseen circumstances the overnight road
closure on the A82 for 4 consecutive nights which was due to commence
Monday 9th March 2020 between the General Booth Road junction with the
A82 and the roundabout to the East of the
Tomnahurich Swing Bridge has been cancelled. The Highland Council
apologises for the late notification regarding this change.
For a separate part of the works, General Booth
Road will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic from 12.01am on
Wednesday 18 March until 6pm on Friday 3 April 2020.
The closure is required to enable road construction works to be carried out safely.
General Booth Road will be closed between its junction with the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road and its junction with the access road leading to the Kings Golf Course Club House.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained. A diversion will be in place using the A82 Trunk Road (including Glenurquhart Road, Tomnahurich Street and Kenneth Street), the A862 (including Telford Street and Clachnaharry Road) and the C1118 (including King Brude Road and part of General Booth Road).
